(PSIA) Private Schools Interscholastic Association Coaches Needed After School
Volunteer Needs: We are in need of coaches to help students prepare (starting end of November) for PSIA competition as well as additional volunteers to help with the competition February 22, 2026.

What is PSIA: An academic competition for private and home-schooled students across Texas. Similar to UIL, PSIA and UIL have a shared goal of improvement of schools and individuals through the pursuit of excellence in academic competition.
PSIA supports grades 1-8. The curricula includes 20 skill categories, with 62 grade-level appropriate contests. Iman Academy will inshaAllah be competing in the bolded areas:
Art Memory, On-Site Drawling, Impromptu Speaking, Modern Oratory, Music Memory, One-Act Play
Creative Writing, Poetry/Pros Interpretation, Ready Writing, Storytelling
Calculator Applications, Dictionary Skills, Spelling, Vocabulary, Information Skills, Listening Skills
Maps/Charts/Graphs, Mathematics, Number Sense, Science
